That's really cool. We make time for the things that matter to us.
I believe there're also many working mothers/ fathers among the Prison volunteers. really appreciate them making time to contribute to the rehab and reintegration of offenders.

When I look at the volunteers to Prisons, I really admire the perseverance and efforts put in by them...having to come after work for some of them, or on weekends where they could be spending time with family members. I guess it's the passion to impart knowledge, skills, and also to encourage many of these inmates who may have taken a wrong step in life.
Thanks, volunteers!

Hi
Being a volunteer requires more than just skills and knowledge, I personally believe it requires a big dose of passion for the cause that you're volunteering in.
As a volunteer, one may not see the immediate returns of the fruit of our labour, unlike working where we receive our salary at the end of each month. That's where each volunteer's passion would spur them on....and I believe that there're returns each will eventually reap. I've heard many of the prison volunteers share that they are personally enriched through their volunteering with the inmates.

Dear volunteers, for those who're there, hope you had a fruitful session at the training conducted by Mr Benny Bong on 22 Apr 06.
Do you have any suggestion / possible topics for future volunteers' training? Feel free to share with us.
