As stated in the subject, is it possible for someone below 21 to volunteer and get accepted?

I'm 18 this year by the way.

Thank you for replying (:

No. I have asked the officers previously a few years back when i was 19 years old and they give me a firm reply: no...

Hi, we require volunteers to be 21 years and above as the majority of our offender population is above the age of 21. As volunteers will be interacting with the offenders who may be facing many family problems and employment-related issues, maturity of age and life experience are factors that help volunteers relate better with offenders. We thank you again for your interest in helping offenders and encourage you to continue to support the the Yellow Ribbon Project cause.

Minors volunteering are oftentimes prohibited. Sometimes, a parent's permit or guardian's permit is required in order for you to join any organization or activity. Thank you for your great sense of volunteerism and compassion.

Having the sense of volunteerism at a young age is like a breath of fresh air. Although you can't volunteer at current age please don't give up on this. You may even be able to help people who are suffering from Paxil side effects. These people have signs of worsening depression and suicidal thoughts among others.

When I work, I work very fast, but preparing to work can take any length of time.

Become a volunteer today! While AutMus is a great place to let loose and hang out with friends, the Alumni Association’s mission is to raise money for TAMIU Student Scholarships and to give back.

Thanks,

I agree. One should have enough life experience so that it would be easy to communicate and relate to the prisoners. - Mel Lifshitz
