Dear volunteers, for those who're there, hope you had a fruitful session at the training conducted by Mr Benny Bong on 22 Apr 06.

Do you have any suggestion / possible topics for future volunteers' training? Feel free to share with us.

I am interested to know more about your quarterly training coming up. I would be free in 2008 and hope to be of some help. I am a 60 years old lady and my time is flexible. Please let me know in what capacity help would be needed within the women's prison?

im a prison officer and always would like to contribute more to organization. it would be great if more relevant trainings and skills to be imparted to us. do you have any calendar of events?

Despite the fact that these threads didn't manage to have a lot os response, I am glad that there are still beautiful people like the rest of you who's appetite for helping people is insatiable.

I am Abdul Rahim an ex convict commited for drug related offence and was kept in prison from 12th June 2003 till 9th June 2008. It was a long wait until i finally released. Being there was the transition period for me. Like many others, we promise not to go back there anymore. I realise, many inmates is going through the motion in prison without any direction. Most are very low on self esteem and tend to be swayed towards the wrong direction. Though family visit and support is critical towards the path of rehabilitation, it is still up to individual to choose the right path.

I am proud that I am a man with clear direction on what I want in my life. I am an executive today for an IT Security firm and am responsible for the Sales turnover within this region. I am highly positive now and I pitch my services to CEO's and higher management personnel and government bodies. I am a confident man and utilised my ability well.

I am sure in many ways I can help inmates to realised that the is life after incarcenation. I have done it...so does many others. And i want to share it with them. Everyone does everything for a reason. I am sure many in there hasn't found theirs. I wanna help them realised and discover their reason. REASON is everything! People kill for a reason, peddlers traffic for a reason, inmates change and become a responsible for a reason. Let me have this opportunity to present to chosen inmates of my reason and help them discover theirs. I am genuine and sncere with my proposal. I want to do my part to help others that is in need of what i can offer. I am a great speaker and motivates others around me well.

Can anyone help me bridge my intention the the relevent parties?

This forum actually supports a very good advocacy. It would be nice if the admins and mods will liven up again this website to attract more volunteers.
